Microblading: Why You Need It

Getting perfectly shaped brows doesn’t have to take hours of pencilling or plucking, instead, there are semi-permanent solutions that can have your eyebrows bursting with volume whilst maintaining that natural look you know and love. There are thousands upon thousands of beauty products on the market, so finding the right one for you and your brows can be a real challenge. If you don’t want the hassle of filling or shaping your brows every single morning, then you will definitely benefit from Microblading. Say goodbye to thin eyebrows, smudging and patchiness – and wake up with perfect eyebrows that you’ll love every single day.

What Is Microblading?

Unlike an eyebrow pencil and other short-term products, Microblading offers a more natural look and removes the hassle of touching up your eyebrows on a regular basis. Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo procedure that works by drawing on miniature strokes that blend in with your existing eyebrow hairs. Whilst this is a similar process to having a tattoo, the ink is far less concentrated, so although the results are longer-lasting than other eyebrow treatments, they are not as permanent as getting an actual tattoo.

Depending on your skin type, what you get up to on a daily basis and the environment you live in, Microblading can last anywhere between one and three years! If you find that your treatment is fading or your brows don’t look like they did initially, you can simply go for a top-up session!

The Benefits of Microblading

There are various benefits related to Microblading. The most common reason people get it done, as we have mentioned already, is to alleviate the hassle related to maintaining the perfect brows. However, this isn’t the only reason you should consider Microblading.

Although the up-front cost of Microblading is more expensive than purchasing products or using an eyebrow pencil, in the long run, it will definitely save you money. If you think how much you spend on makeup each month you might be in for a shock!

Those who undergo Microblading also don’t have to worry about the external factors that can affect how their eyebrows look. If you want to go to the gym or for a swim, you can, without having to worry about smudging or your brows rubbing off.

It is common for patients to adjust their Microblading treatment as their appearance and taste changes. As each procedure only lasts for a certain length of time, you can switch your brows up as you go!

Last but by no means least, Microblading helps you overcome the frequent problem of having thin eyebrows – in just one session you can go from overplucked, unshaped brows, to those that are beautiful and full.

What Does A Typical Treatment Consist Of?

Prior to your treatment, a trained professional at La Fuente will have a consultation with you to determine whether your skin and eyebrows are suitable for treatment whilst also talking through what results you can expect to receive. This part of the process isn’t dissimilar to getting a haircut, you can talk through the style and shape that you want as well as discussing any anxieties you may have!

Once this is out the way, the target area will be cleaned and numbed, and then the procedure will start. For about 30-40 minutes you will have strokes drawn onto the space above your eyes – once this is completed, products will be applied to aid the healing process and any post-treatment requirements will be discussed.

At this point, it is also common for a follow-up treatment to be scheduled so the final results can be tweaked or adjusted as needed.
