The Treatment
Both safe and effective, Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injections are composed of a special formula designed to liquefy hard-to-shift fat cells and eliminate them from the body for good. This formula contains several different plant-based compounds and is spearheaded by an ingredient known as deoxycholic acid, a natural substance that plays a part in the body’s normal fat digestion processes.
When the fat cells in question are injected with Aqualyx, they are broken apart and gradually removed from the body via the lymphatic system. This is a close-knit network of tissues and organs dedicated to overseeing the elimination of unwanted materials from the body.
Am I Suitable For Treatment?
As alluded to above, Aqualyx should not be seen as a substitute for more traditional methods of weight loss and is only advised for patients of a healthy weight looking to address the existence of a double chin.
Aqualyx is also unsuitable for people with diabetes, liver disease or kidney disease, as well as those currently awaiting treatment for a skin condition. Patients with excess or saggy skin may benefit from one of our other facial contouring procedures.

FAQ's
Does it hurt?
Aqualyx patients can expect to experience pain similar to that felt during a normal injection. If this sounds unappealing, we may be able to offer you a topical cream or local anaesthetic to numb the pain.
When will results become visible?
Results are best seen at the eight-week mark, with younger patients typically noticing changes before this point in time.
How many treatments are required?
Fat can be dissolved after just one treatment, but this is dependent on you as an individual. As a general rule, we normally recommend up to three sessions for the reduction of a double chin.
Is there any downtime?
Patients should allow for a few days of recovery time after this procedure, with chin swelling potentially visible for up to two weeks.
