How Does It Work?
Simply put, Dermaplaning is a very effective exfoliation process that can help target issues that arise in the deepest layers of your skin. The treatment is normally carried out by a medical specialist who will use a sterilised surgical blade to remove dead skin cells and any excess hair from your skin.
The blade is usually placed at a forty-five degree angle, which when combined with light pressure, can cleanly remove any vellus hair from the skin’s surface. Your new, fresh skin will not only absorb your products better, but will be complemented by your makeup in a more natural way, providing you with a youthful, vibrant finish.
Am I Suitable For Treatment?
Most patients will be able to join us for Dermaplaning, however, those who suffer from rosacea or have sensitive skin might risk irritating certain areas of their face.
Prior to treatment we ask that all our patients join us for an initial consultation. During this session, you will be given the opportunity to discuss your goals and raise any concerns you may have with your skincare professional. This time is also valuable because it gives our professionals a platform to assess your medical history and determine whether you are suitable for treatment.

FAQ's
Does it hurt?
This treatment may sound slightly intimidating but it is actually pain-free. The sensation you feel is not too dissimilar to shaving.
When will results become visible?
Your skin may have a slightly red appearance at first, however, after a minimal amount of time you will be left with a gorgeous glow.
How many treatments are required?
You will be able to see visible results after just 1 treatment, however, to ensure your skin maintains its new glowing appearance we recommend that you schedule a series of follow-up sessions.
Is there any downtime?
Most patients can return to work straight after treatment, just remember to use extra sunscreen as your skin can be extra vulnerable to damage after treatment!
