How Does It Work?
Eyebrow Waxing is a common and straightforward treatment that was popularised in Eastern Europe. It involves spreading a thin layer of wax over an area of unwanted hair. A strip of fabric (usually cloth) is then placed on top of the wax before being pulled away in a rapid motion to remove both the unwanted hair and the wax.
There are two methods of waxing: hot waxing and cold waxing. Cold wax strips are usually pre-cut to different sizes and do not need to be heated. Hot wax, on the other hand, is the more popular method of treatment. This wax is heated and applied to a small area of unwanted hair. As the wax cools, it melts onto the skin and clings to each individual strand of hair. A cloth strip is then applied to the wax and pressed down. After a couple of seconds, this is quickly pulled off to leave a clear, hair-free patch of skin.
When this process has been completed, your brows will be groomed and any extra hair will be trimmed with small scissors. A brow massage will also be offered to help soothe and relax the waxed area.

Does it hurt?
Your first wax strip might hurt a little but the pain becomes more manageable each time. This is definitely nothing to worry about and most patients find that the anticipation and anxiety in the run-up to treatment tends to be worse than the procedure itself!
Are there any side effects?
There are usually very side effects, however, this can vary from patient to patient and is dependent on the sensitivity of your skin.
How long do the results last?
Results typically last around four to six weeks, though this depends how quickly your eyebrows usually regrow. It is worth noting that the more treatments you have, the lighter and thinner your eyebrow hair will become. This reduces the need to undergo quite so many top-up treatments.
