Henna Brow Treatment is one of the latest forms of eyebrow tinting and uses the famous ancient dye to stain the skin above the eye and between the eyebrows. Many people opt for this procedure as a way of trying out a new eyebrow shape or style before committing to a more permanent look, with tinted hairs returning to normal after around 6 weeks.
As Henna Brows are temporary, they can be used to fill in overplucked or thinning eyebrows on a short-term basis. Patients will need to return for top-up treatments should they wish to maintain their results.
How Does It Work?
Henna Brow Treatment is a straightforward and safe procedure that uses the natural dye from the henna tree to stain the skin that is located under the eyebrows. This stain can provide the illusion of darker and fuller brows, adding shape and definition to one of the most noticeable parts of the face.
The procedure begins by cleansing the skin and washing away its natural oils. Your therapist will then measure and shape your brows in a way that will have been agreed upon at your consultation. The application of a white paste follows to help you achieve your desired brow shape. Henna is then delicately pushed onto your skin before being left for up to 20 minutes. After such time, it will be wiped clean and any necessary waxing, threading or tweezing will be performed to complete your look.
Am I Suitable For Henna Brow Treatment?
Henna Brow Treatment is suitable for all skin types, tones and brow shapes. Patients with psoriasis or eczema may find that their results do not last as long, and this is also true for those with oily skin. If you have more brow hair you are likely to experience a better treatment outcome. You may also need to take a patch test to ensure that you are not allergic to henna or anything else included in the treatment mixture.

Henna in itself is extremely safe for use by most adults. In some cases, Henna Brow Treatment has been known to cause side effects such as redness, itching, swelling and burning. This reaction is often a result of an ingredient that has been added to the henna mixture. A simple patch test will be able to tell us if your skin is likely to respond unfavourably to treatment.
How Long Do The Results Last?
Henna Brow Treatment usually lasts around 4 weeks, although this is dependent on how strictly you follow the aftercare guidance and also on your skin type.
