The Focus Dual® combines Fractional Radio Frequency Microneedling with High Intensity Focussed Ultrasound (HIFU), giving unrivalled results for non-surgical skin tightening. The device treats the skin at every layer, smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, reducing the appearance of stretch marks and scars, and improving skin tone.
How Does The Focus Dual® Work?
Collagen and elastin are responsible for the skin’s firmness and elasticity. The Focus Dual® increases production of these proteins in two distinct ways. The Microneedling treatment uses ultra-fine needles to penetrate the dermis layer of the skin, provoking the skin’s natural healing response. This results in new tissue, rich in collagen and elastin, being produced. Radio frequency is simultaneously delivered, heating the skin and speeding up the collagen induction process.
HIFU uses ultrasound to heat the skin as deep as the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) layer. This is the layer tightened by surgeons during aesthetic surgery. The Focus Dual® delivers HIFU as part of a minimally invasive treatment. As collagen is stimulated, skin appears smoother, plumped up and more youthful.
How Quickly Will I See Results?
Most clients begin to see results 2-3 weeks after their first treatment. As collagen and elastin production increases, results improve over time. The full effect of the procedure is typically seen around 12 weeks after the final treatment.
What Does The Treatment Feel Like?
Microneedling treatments are minimally invasive, with clients reporting low levels of discomfort. A tingling sensation may be experienced during the procedure and skin may feel warm for a few hours post-treatment. Any redness caused by the needles quickly subsides, meaning that Focus Dual® treatments do not require any downtime.
