Microblading

The Treatment

Microblading is a form of semi-permanent tattoo procedure designed to take eyebrow maintenance to a whole new level of sophistication, providing those who obsess over the size and shape of their brows with a workable and long-lasting solution to this increasingly important area of beauty.

Storming to prominence as a result of social media platforms such as Instagram, Microblading can help add depth and volume to the area above the eyes whilst reducing the need to invest quite so heavily in beauty products that aren’t always guaranteed to provide you with the results that you desire. This procedure, which usually lasts no more than forty minutes, will also free you up from spending copious amounts of time in front of the mirror, leaving you in a position to go about your day safe in the knowledge that your brows are always on fleek!

How Does It Work?

Microblading is carried out with the help of a controlled device that applies a medical-grade pigment onto the skin’s top layer – the epidermis – to create the illusion of fuller-looking, expertly maintained eyebrows. And whilst not too dissimilar to getting a permanent tattoo, this procedure differs from traditional methods of adding ink to the skin by using needles that lightly scratch its surface rather than penetrate it completely.

When attending your Microblading appointment at La Fuente, you can expect this procedure to unfold in the following manner. Firstly, your eyebrow hairs will be threaded to ensure that they are fully ready for treatment. Then, a topical numbing agent will be applied to this area to ensure that you don’t experience any discomfort when your skin comes into the contact with the needles used in this procedure.

Once this has taken effect, we will run the ink-laden device over your brow area to fill out your eyebrows following your chosen style. This shouldn’t take any longer than an hour, giving you beautiful, shapely brows in no time at all.

Am I Suitable For Treatment?

Microblading is suitable for almost everyone and is a treatment favoured by those who want to keep their brows looking fuller and more defined without the need to constantly keep them in check. Unless you demonstrate an allergy or sensitivity to the pigments used in this procedure – something which will be ascertained during a pre-treatment patch test – Microblading is certainly an appropriate cosmetic option for you.

FAQ's

Does it hurt?

This normally depends on your individual tolerance for pain. As we provide a topical anaesthetic as standard for this treatment, there is no need to worry about having to experience any discomfort throughout your Microblading procedure.

Are there any side effects?

After treatment, it’s not uncommon for your eyebrows to heal over and although this might cause your skin to experience some irritation or flakiness, this will clear in time. To make this less of a possibility, we will give you a set of aftercare instructions to follow immediately after your treatment comes to an end.

How long do the results last?

In certain instances, you will be able to see results straight away. When any post-treatment healing clears, this will become much more noticeable and you should be able to enjoy your new eyebrows for anywhere between 12-18 months. This all depends on your skin type. After this pigment has faded, you will need to book in for a top-up treatment to restore your brows to their desired appearance.
