La Fuente offers Microneedling, and Radio Frequency (RF) Microneedling with the Focus Dual®. Both trigger the production of collagen and offer numerous anti-ageing benefits, but the addition of radio frequency is particularly effective at breaking up scar tissue. How Does It Work?
During Microneedling treatments, tiny sterile needles are rolled across the skin, creating micro-injuries. This trauma provokes the skin’s natural healing response. New collagen-rich tissue is formed, plumping up the skin and improving tone and texture.
The Focus Dual® performs Radio Frequency Microneedling. As the needles penetrate the skin, radio frequency is simultaneously delivered to the superficial dermis and epidermis layers of the skin. This energy converts to heat which causes the skin to tighten and further stimulates the production of collagen.
Am I Suitable For Treatment?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment, making it safe and effective for anyone, regardless of age, skin colour or skin type. Microneedling procedures benefit those with fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, scars (including acne scars) and thinning hair.
Prior to all treatments, we ask that our clients meet with one of our practitioners for a consultation. During this time, you will be able to discuss your skincare goals and ask any questions you may have about the procedure or aftercare process. Practitioners will also use this time to evaluate your medical history and assess your suitability for treatment.

FAQ's
Does it hurt?
Microneedling treatments are minimally invasive, with levels of discomfort kept to a minimum. Some clients describe ‘tiny scratches’ as the needles penetrate the skin but most experience only a gentle warming.
Heat produced by radio frequency helps to minimise skin irritation during RF Microneedling procedures.
When will results become visible?
Clients typically notice an improvement in skin texture 2-3 weeks after their initial treatment. The skin responds to the treatment for up to 12 weeks, meaning optimal results may not be seen until a few months after the final treatment.
How many treatments are required?
This depends on a number of factors, including age, the area being treated, skin condition and level of damage. We typically recommend 3-6 treatments at 3-4 week intervals for best long-term results.
Is there any downtime?
Microneedling requires no significant downtime as the procedure is minimally invasive. The skin can appear red while most of the visible recovery takes place. This lasts for no longer than a few days, whereas healing under the surface of the skin, which causes increased collagen production, continues for weeks.
