How Do Nouveau Classic Lash Extensions Work?
If you have any skin conditions, let one of our therapists know as soon as possible. They’ll be able to advise you on whether or not you should go ahead with this procedure.
You’ll need to arrive with clean, makeup-free eyelashes and you should try not to apply any oil-based products to your eye area prior to treatment. If caffeine makes your eyes twitch, steer clear of this as you’ll need to keep your eyes closed for the duration of the procedure.
You should also remove contact lenses and make sure your phone is on silent so it doesn’t distract you or your therapist. Last but not least, make sure you go to the toilet beforehand as you might be in the chair for up to 90 minutes.
To begin, your therapist will apply protective tape and lash pads to make sure your eyes are as safe as they can be. They’ll then carefully glue individual lashes to your natural lashes. It’s a long process but it’s one that guarantees stunning results.
What Happens Next?
Following your treatment, there are a few things we need you to do.
Don’t get your extensions wet for at least 48 hours. This will cause the glue to become overloaded with moisture. It’ll then dry too quickly and become brittle without forming a bond with your natural lashes, causing your extensions to fall out quicker. After this time, when you do get them wet – you’ll need to brush them gently with a spoolie.
Don’t rub or touch your eyes, or use oil-based cleansing products, whilst your extensions are in place. Oil-based products like makeup removers are amazing at breaking down products, but this applies to lash glue too. Try to stick to cream or gel-based cleansers instead.
To keep your lashes looking their best for as long as possible, be as gentle with them as you can.
Am I Suitable For Treatment?
If you don’t have any skin conditions or sensitive eyes, there’s no reason why you can’t get lash extensions. If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding and you’re unsure if you’re able to go ahead with this procedure, just speak to your therapist and they’ll be able to advise you on the best course of action.

How Long Will They Last?
Your extensions will last for 6-8 weeks, which is about as long as your natural lash cycle. You can always get regular infills every 2-3 weeks if you want to keep them looking lovely, long and thick.
Will They Fall Out On Their Own?
As mentioned above, your extensions should last as long as your natural lash cycle. Eyelashes naturally fall out on their own and grow again, which is typically what will happen with your extensions within 6-8 weeks. You shouldn’t pull the lashes out on your own but they can be removed for you - just contact us if this is something you’d like us to do.
Will They Ruin My Natural Lashes?
Definitely not! Our extensions are applied by talented professionals, so there’s no need to worry about your natural lashes. You just need to make sure you don’t rub your eyes or pick at your extensions to keep them looking lovely for as long as you can.
