The Treatment

The chances are that you have heard of popular aesthetic procedures like dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections, but Sunekos is an injectable treatment in a lane of its own. If you have always felt reluctant to try anti-ageing injectables, this procedure is a perfect way to gently introduce yourself to aesthetics by restoring a more natural, youthful look from within. While subtle, the results are definitely noticeable and can completely reignite your love for your skin.

How Does Sunekos Work?

We say that Sunekos is an entirely unique injectable because it uses a combination of amino acids and hyaluronic acid within its patented formula. Amino acids are known to be the cornerstones of collagen and elastin, proteins that are essential to healthy, youthful skin behaviours. Over time, our collagen and elastin levels deplete, leading to the onset of skin laxity, fine lines and wrinkles. Sunekos helps to restore these proteins, strengthening the structure of your skin from within and outwardly improving its appearance.

A process known as “dermal biogenesis” takes place within the treated area of skin, which involves deep levels of hydration and skin-plumping action. As a result, wrinkles appear reduced and skin appears volumised without actually physically adding volume, which is the case for dermal fillers. Instead, a more natural outcome is achieved as the treatment encourages the skin to mend and heal itself through intercellular communications.

Am I Suitable For This Treatment?

Sunekos is a very natural, gentle injectable that can usually offer benefits for most people. Its versatility means that it can safely and effectively treat a multitude of areas, including the face (even beneath the eyes), forehead, neck, décolletage and hands.

If you are concerned with uneven skin tone, premature ageing, dryness, lax skin, sun damage, dark circles or mild acne scarring, it’s likely that you’d benefit from a course of Sunekos injectables. Your suitability for this type of treatment will be properly determined during your consultation at La Fuente Clinic.

Does it hurt?

As with any injectable, you’re likely to feel a slight scratch or pinprick sensation, but this discomfort can be minimised with some pre-applied numbing cream if necessary.

When will results become visible?

The process of stimulating collagen and elastin production takes time, which is why you shouldn’t expect to see any immediate results. Typically, most patients see visible improvements to their skin after 3 months.

How many treatments are required?

To see the best results, Sunekos is spread across 4 sessions, one every 7 to 10 days. This process can be repeated once every 9 months if you wish to maintain your results.

Is there any downtime?

There is absolutely no downtime associated with this type of treatment, allowing you to slot it into your busy schedule with ease. You may experience some slight tenderness, inflammation or bruising around the treatment site, but these symptoms should subside within a week.
