We’re here to tell you that you’re not stuck with your bad decision for life thanks to our highly advanced laser tattoo removal device.
Do you have an old tattoo you wish you could get rid of? Whether it’s a youthful mistake, a change of circumstance or it was by an untrained artist, many people wish they could go back in time and stop themselves from getting particular tattoos that have haunted them ever since. If that sounds like you, we’re here to tell you that you’re not stuck with your bad decision for life thanks to our highly advanced laser tattoo removal device.
How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?
Laser tattoo removal works by targeting the pigment in your unwanted tattoo with advanced laser light. When the laser is applied to the skin, the ink particles absorb the light and shatter into tiny fragments. Over the following weeks, your body naturally breaks down and flushes away these particles through the lymphatic system, gradually lightening the tattoo.
At La Fuente, we use medical-grade laser technology designed to treat a wide range of ink colours and depths with precision. The tattoo removal device allows us to deliver controlled energy to the ink while minimising heat in the surrounding skin, supporting safer, more comfortable sessions and optimal results. Multiple sessions are typically required, as ink must be broken down gradually to protect the skin and allow the body time to process the pigment.
Am I Suitable For Treatment?
Most people are suitable for laser tattoo removal, but a consultation is essential to assess your tattoo, skin type and goals. Suitability is influenced by several factors, including:
- Skin tone.
- Tattoo age, colour and location.
- Any underlying medical conditions or medications.
- Lifestyle factors such as sun exposure.
Those with lighter skin types generally respond fastest, though modern technology allows safe treatment across a wide range of tones. Black ink is typically the easiest to remove, while colours such as blue, yellow or green may require additional sessions.
If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, have very fresh sun exposure or have active skin infections in the area, laser tattoo removal may not be advisable. During your consultation, our practitioners will create a personalised treatment plan based on your tattoo and expected response.

FAQs
After just one session, you’ll notice that the saturation of your tattoo has been greatly reduced, but the colour will continue to fade until it disappears completely over the course of your treatment.
This depends on several things, including the colour of your tattoo and its intensity. Professional tattoos can take up to 15 sessions to completely remove, whereas less detailed designs can be eliminated in as little as 1-5 sessions. The required number of treatments will be determined at your initial consultation but may change depending on how well your tattoo responds to treatment.
Anaesthetic isn’t required and most patients equate the feeling of the treatment to that of an elastic band being flicked against the skin. It is a little uncomfortable but entirely manageable. Don’t hesitate to discuss this further with your practitioner should you have any concerns.
You might notice some redness and swelling of the treatment area, but this should subside within 48 hours. If your tattoo forms a graze, please do your best to let it heal as itching, scratching or picking could lead to infection and may affect the results of your treatment.
You can return to normal activities straight away, but aftercare such as keeping the area clean and protected is essential.
