While there are several microneedling treatments on the market, they are all essentially the same at their core and it is merely the technology that differs. We use one of the most advanced microneedling devices on the market, offering unrivalled results and versatility.

How Does Skin Needling Work?

Skin needling involves the use of ultra-fine needles to create channels of controlled trauma across the dermal layer of the skin. These channels are highly precise and contained within the target area where your concerns are most prevalent. This entire process initiates a natural healing response within your skin, encouraging the production of collagen and elastin proteins as well as the formation of youthful new skin tissue.

FAQs

You would be forgiven for thinking that skin needling sounds like a rather painful procedure when in fact the discomfort is far less than you might expect. Most patients describe the sensation as a slight scratching feeling, which is completely manageable.

While the healing processes triggered by this type of treatment get to work immediately, you will have to wait around 4-6 weeks until the best results fully materialise.

This will depend on the severity of your concerns. For gentle skin rejuvenation, 2-3 treatments are likely to offer the results you seek. However, things like scarring and stretch mark reduction require more sessions, usually around 3-6.

There is no active downtime associated with microneedling, which means you can resume your normal routine right away. You are likely to experience some slight inflammation, redness and peeling in the first few days following your treatment, but these symptoms will be mild and should subside within a week.

It’s best to avoid makeup for 24 hours after your treatment to allow the skin to recover. Mineral makeup can usually be worn the following day if needed.
